Installation Notes
Optional Filter Repositioning
The filter can be positioned behind one of the side grills rather than at the center (refer to the vehicle photos in the product images). To do this, simply cut the hose to the length needed to place the filter in your preferred position.
Please note that moving the filter to the side will reduce clearance in that area. Some trimming of the plastic trim panel — specifically the opening that connects to the stock airbox — may be required to ensure a proper fit.
Tip: Repositioning the filter to the side and installing the rain cover gives the intake a fully stealth look, keeping it completely hidden from view if that’s the aesthetic you’re going for.
Can Water Enter the Filter?
This intake system has been designed with water ingestion in mind. The filter itself is built to repel light rain even without any additional protection. When combined with the rain cover, the filter positioning, and the length of the intake hose, the system provides a comprehensive barrier against water reaching the engine. The rain cover shields the filter from direct water exposure, while the hose length and routing ensure that any water that may get close is never actually drawn into the engine.
